Summer is showing little sign of winding down along the northern coast, where Martil, M’diq and Fnideq continue to draw Moroccan, Arab and international holidaymakers into the final weeks of the season.
The period between mid-August and mid-September remains particularly busy, with visitors heading to the beaches during the day before filling streets, cafés and restaurants in the evening.
Tourists who spoke to Le360 pointed to that combination of sea, nature and city life as one of the main attractions of spending the summer in the north.
From the beach to busy evenings
Martil, M’diq and Fnideq remain among the main draws for beachgoers, while Tangier, Tetouan and Chefchaouen offer visitors alternatives away from the coast.
For many holidaymakers, the day begins at the beach but does not end there.
As temperatures fall in the evening, streets and seafront areas become busier, with visitors heading out for walks, cafés, restaurants and other leisure activities.
Arab and international tourists who spoke to Le360 said the evening atmosphere was an important part of their stay, allowing them to combine time by the sea with the bustle of the coastal towns after dark.

Local food joins the holiday itinerary
Food is another part of the experience, with restaurants serving local dishes alongside seafood from the coast.
International visitors interviewed by Le360 said trying local cuisine formed part of discovering the region beyond its beaches.
The variety also allows holidaymakers to change scenery without traveling far.

Visitors can move between the Mediterranean resorts of Martil, M’diq and Fnideq, the urban atmosphere of Tangier and Tetouan, and the mountain setting of Chefchaouen during the same trip.
