“So sad what is happening in Spain, a country with ZERO control of its border. WOW!” the US president wrote on Truth Social on Saturday night.
Trump did not mention Ceuta in the post.
His remarks came days after he spoke about the late-July crossings into the city in an interview with Britain’s GB News.
“Thousands of people pouring en masse into a country. I have never seen anything like it,” Trump said, according to remarks reported by EFE.
The US president has also been criticizing Pedro Sánchez’s government over Spain’s defense spending.
Earlier in the week, Trump said Spain would become “a ruined country” and accused Madrid of failing to meet its obligations within NATO.
“I have a problem with Spain because it is not behaving very well towards NATO and is not paying what it should be paying,” he said.

Sánchez defended his government’s handling of the Sebta crossings before Congress on Wednesday.
He said more than 90% of irregular arrivals had been returned within 72 hours and that there was no evidence implicating Rabat in the crossings.
The Spanish prime minister also defended cooperation with Morocco, rejecting calls for a confrontation with Rabat over the episode.
