The National Rally of Independents (RNI) in Safi has been rocked by a wave of collective resignations, as six party members formally requested to permanently end their membership and have their names removed from the party’s records.
The resignations, reviewed by Le360, involve Ridouan Souheib, El Hassan Saadi, Kamal Mdir, Ilyas El Ammar, Mohamed Kouri, and Bouchaaib Merah.
These members submitted their resignation letters to the RNI’s local coordinator in Safi, with oversight from the provincial and regional coordinators in the Marrakech-Safi region and the party president. Each letter was explicitly titled “Notice of resignation from membership in the National Rally of Independents.”
The resigning members requested that their resignations take effect immediately upon submission, with all necessary administrative procedures followed, including the removal of their names from party records, thereby formally severing their organizational ties with the RNI.

Copies of the documents include certified signature stamps in addition to the applicants’ signatures, providing formal administrative documentation for the resignations.
These resignations occur just weeks before the September 23, 2026, vote, a period when political parties are intensifying election preparations and mobilizing their local bases. The RNI in Safi now confronts the collective departure of several members as it approaches the legislative elections.
