The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said Friday that Morocco’s embassy in Rome, which is also accredited to Albania, had formally notified Albanian authorities that the visa exemption would enter into force on Aug. 15.
The decision translates into action a commitment included in a joint declaration signed by Morocco and Albania on March 1, 2025. In the declaration, Morocco announced its decision to waive visa requirements for Albanian citizens visiting Morocco for short stays, subject to the completion of the necessary procedures.
The measure adds to the travel arrangements between the two countries as Morocco and Albania continue to develop bilateral relations.
