The PAM has struck a deal with the three Koutla parties to form the next government, giving designated Head of Government Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri a majority of 207 seats in the House of Representatives, Le360 has learnt.
The agreement, reached after days of consultations, brings together the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), Istiqlal, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces (USFP) and the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS).
With 207 members in the 395-seat House, the four parties have nine seats more than the 198 required to command a majority.
El Mansouri is due to meet the leaders of her prospective coalition partners at the PAM headquarters in Rabat on Monday, where journalists have been gathering in anticipation of a formal announcement.
The PPS, whose participation had remained undecided until Monday, gave its go-ahead earlier in the day.

Following a meeting of its political bureau, the party announced that it would join the El Mansouri government, saying its talks with the designated head of government had been held in an atmosphere of trust and that the two sides were largely in agreement over the government’s main priorities.
The decision put an end to speculation over whether the PPS would join the alliance.
Le360 had earlier reported that the PAM was looking to the three Koutla parties to form a majority, leaving the National Rally of Independents (RNI) out of the proposed arrangement.
Although the four parties have agreed to join hands, the allocation of cabinet portfolios and the government program remain to be settled.
