Candidate filing for the September 23 legislative elections got off to a brisk start on Monday, with 702 lists submitted within the first six hours.
The online filing window opened at 8am on August 31. By 2pm, candidates affiliated with 27 political parties had submitted 702 lists through the dedicated electronic platform, according to an authorized Interior Ministry source.
The submissions already covered all local and regional electoral constituencies across the country, the source said.
The Interior Ministry said the filing process was proceeding normally.
