According to a security source, the suspect was detained during border control procedures upon arrival on a flight. Checks revealed that he was the subject of an Interpol red notice over suspected involvement in an attempted intentional killing with a firearm in Paris in 2025.
The suspect was placed in police custody as part of an investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, pending the initiation of extradition proceedings to French judicial authorities under the international security cooperation agreements and legal protocols in force.
