The Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) in Khénifra approved 33 projects worth nearly MAD 5.8 million at its third meeting of 2026, held Tuesday.
The meeting, chaired by Khénifra Governor Mohamed Adil Ihourane, also reviewed progress under the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) across the province.
Since the start of 2026, the CPDH has approved a total of 92 projects with a combined budget of MAD 31.54 million.
Under the second INDH program, which focuses on supporting people in vulnerable situations, the committee approved the purchase of a vehicle to transport vulnerable people, particularly in rural areas.
The vehicle, costing MAD 160,000, will be managed by the Arrahma Social Relief Association in coordination with local authorities and the National Mutual Aid Agency. It will help improve support for vulnerable people and facilitate accommodation for homeless people, particularly during periods of severe cold.
Under the third program, focused on improving incomes and promoting the economic inclusion of young people, the committee approved projects worth a total of MAD 3.15 million.
The projects aim to support young people in developing professional ventures through income-generating activities, entrepreneurship and the development of the province’s natural and tourism potential.
Under the fourth program, which focuses on strengthening human capital among younger generations, the CPDH approved the purchase of five school buses for MAD 2.2 million, as well as a project to support the management of Dar Talib and Dar Taliba facilities, which provide accommodation for students, with funding of around MAD 1 million.
The measures are intended to reduce school dropout, improve access to schools and improve accommodation conditions for students from rural areas, where distances can make access to education difficult.
Speaking at the meeting, Ihourane said the session was part of ongoing efforts to ensure the effective implementation of INDH programs, describing the initiative as a major national project focused on developing human capital.
He said the initiative had contributed to improving living conditions, reducing regional disparities and supporting the socio-economic integration of young people, contributing to the province’s development.
The meeting forms part of the province’s continued implementation of INDH programs, with economic inclusion, equal access to services and support for vulnerable groups among its main priorities.
