In a statement, the General Delegation said the results were “unprecedented” compared with all previous baccalaureate examination sessions.
It said inmates achieved an overall pass rate of nearly 69% across both the regular and make-up sessions, compared with the national pass rate of 54.5% among independent candidates. The number of successful candidates also increased by 72.39% compared with the 2025 baccalaureate session.
The statement added that 600 inmates graduated with honors, ranging from “Fairly Good” to “Good” and “Very Good.” They accounted for 36% of all successful candidates across the two sessions, representing an 86.33% increase compared with the number of inmates who earned honors in the 2025 examinations.
The General Delegation praised what it described as the “outstanding and unprecedented results” achieved by inmates in this year’s baccalaureate examinations, encouraging them to continue their efforts and build on these achievements in their educational and personal journeys.
The statement concluded that these results reflect the efforts made by teaching and administrative staff, as well as all stakeholders involved, particularly the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports. They also underscore the importance of education in supporting rehabilitation and reintegration.
