Hundreds of residents, along with Moroccan and international tourists, gathered along the M’diq waterfront on Wednesday to watch military parades and musical performances by various units of Morocco’s armed forces.
Shortly after King Mohammed VI’s Throne Day address, residents and visitors attended the traditional “Torchlight Parade” organized by the Royal Guard. The event, showcasing Morocco’s rich historical and cultural heritage, was held in the presence of civilian and military officials from the region.
The audience enjoyed performances by the Royal Guard’s military band, which played a selection of well-known Moroccan patriotic anthems and songs. The parade featured infantry units, mounted cavalry, torchbearers, as well as members of the security forces, Royal Gendarmerie and Auxiliary Forces.

Thousands of spectators lined the city’s streets as the procession made its way from the Royal Residence along Avenue Lalla Nezha to the waterfront square.
The crowd watched synchronized military formations and Royal Guard cavalry carrying lit torches, performing with precision, discipline and carefully coordinated timing.

The celebration concluded with choreographed displays by the participating military units, which formed geometric patterns—including squares, arrows and interlocking circles—before creating a five-pointed star and ending the parade by recreating the map of Morocco.
