The Atlas Lions will face Niger twice in November as they continue their qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, with the two matches scheduled for Casablanca and Rabat.

The first meeting will take place on Friday, November 13, at 20:00 at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca. According to appointments announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan will officiate, assisted by compatriots Hamza Hajji Abdi and Ali Mahmoud Mahad.

The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, November 17, at 20:00 at the Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. Ethiopian referee Theodoros Mitko will oversee the second match, with compatriots Vassika Piro Beholashit and Tigle Gizao Bilachi serving as assistant referees.

The first match against Niger will also mark the Atlas Lions’ return to the Mohammed V Complex, where they have not played an official match since March 29, 2022. On that occasion, Morocco beat the Democratic Republic of Congo 4-1 in the second leg of their 2022 World Cup qualifying playoff.

The two fixtures are part of the second international window of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, following Morocco’s victories over Gabon (2-0) and Lesotho (2-0) in the first two rounds in September.
