Ahead of the third and final Group A matchday, Vilda emphasized that “the national team players are aware of the importance of this crucial match for both qualification and the group standings,” adding that “this game is like a small final against a team we know well.”
He noted, “we will play in the best possible way to achieve a good result,” explaining that “the most important thing is to limit Senegal’s threat, as they excel in counter-attacks, quick transitions, and set pieces.”

“Morocco is a team that has developed and is capable of making the difference on the pitch,” he said, adding that the players are ready to give their all to continue their run in the tournament.
Ouzraoui, meanwhile, highlighted the importance of the Moroccan fans’ support in helping the team secure victory, stating that it provides the players with extra motivation in every match.
“We have already played against Senegal, but tomorrow’s match will be different,” she said. “Teams improve from year to year, and we will do everything we can to come out on top.”
She added, “we are determined to manage this match well because qualification has not yet been secured,” explaining that “this WAFCON is very competitive because even with six points we have not yet qualified for the next round. That means we must stay fully focused on our performance and our style of play to create chances that can make the difference against Senegal.”
Morocco currently leads Group A with six points, followed by Algeria and Senegal, each with three points. Kenya remains at the bottom without a point.
