The Casablanca club announced the deal in a statement published on its official social media pages, confirming that El Hassouni has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for an additional season.
Wydad said the signing forms part of its plans to strengthen the squad, citing El Hassouni’s experience, his strong familiarity with the club, and his ability to contribute both on and off the pitch.
El Hassouni previously enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with Wydad, winning five Botola Pro titles, as well as the CAF Champions League and the CAF Super Cup.
