The draw for the tournament, which will be held in Morocco from October 12 to 21, took place Monday, August 10, at the conference hall of the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé.
The Moroccan national team enter the tournament as three-time defending champions, having won the continental title in 2016, 2020 and 2024. The hosts will now look to claim a fourth consecutive African title on home soil.
Backed by home advantage and their supporters, the national team will aim to maintain their strong record in African futsal and defend their title under coach Hicham Dguig, who has overseen the national team’s success in recent years.
Group B features Egypt, Angola, Mozambique and Tanzania.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) previously said the 2026 tournament would highlight the development of futsal across the continent while helping further promote the sport at the African level.
