Irish airline Ryanair has announced an expanded winter schedule in Morocco, adding new connections from several cities across the Kingdom.
On Tuesday, October 27, CEO Eddie Wilson, accompanied by Moroccan officials, presented part of the winter program at Rabat-Salé International Airport. He also inspected new facilities for passengers, including equipment for check-in and baggage drop before boarding.
Ryanair has a strong presence in Morocco, including a base at Rabat-Salé Airport that offers numerous direct connections to Europe. The low-cost carrier transports more than 200 million passengers a year across its international network.
According to a company statement, Ryanair’s winter 2026 schedule is its largest ever in Morocco, with 5.3 million seats across 156 routes, including 17 new services.

Wilson’s visit to Rabat highlights the airline’s growing presence in the country, supported in particular by its strategic partnership with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT).
With this record winter schedule, Ryanair says it is taking “a new step in its development in the Kingdom,” backed by the ONMT’s “proactive policy” to strengthen air connectivity and attract tourists from new source markets.

According to the statement, Wilson’s visit to Rabat gives “a new dimension to this new step.” The trip “testifies to the place” Morocco now holds in the airline’s growth strategy and to “the strength of a partnership that helps reshape the Kingdom’s air route network year after year.”
The figures reflect the scale of the expansion. Ryanair is offering 5.3 million seats for winter 2026, an increase of 580,000 seats, or 12%, compared with the previous winter.
The network will connect Morocco to 14 countries and serve 13 Moroccan airports. The schedule includes 156 routes, 17 of them new.
The expansion also comes with increased investment by the airline. With its Rabat base, Ryanair’s fifth in Morocco, and two additional aircraft assigned to the capital, the number of aircraft based in the Kingdom has risen to 16.
According to the company, these aircraft represent a combined investment of $1.6 billion and help sustain more than 8,500 local jobs.
Ryanair says its expansion is contributing to “a structural transformation of the national air network.”

The airline’s growing network is also supporting destinations beyond Morocco’s main tourist hubs. “The development of the network is contributing to the momentum of destinations such as Fez, Tetouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla and Nador,” the statement said.
New services include routes linking Rabat with Stockholm and Kraków, Marrakech with Wrocław, and Agadir with several European cities, including Milan, Nuremberg, Bratislava and Gdańsk.
For the ONMT, this latest development “demonstrates the reach of a strategy based on expanding air capacity, attracting new customer markets and consolidating European markets.”
It also reflects “the confidence of major international airlines in Morocco’s tourism potential and the sector’s growth prospects.”
With 5.3 million seats scheduled for this winter and 17 new routes, Ryanair is strengthening its presence in Morocco. New services from several cities across the Kingdom are expected to support established tourist destinations while improving direct connections to Europe for areas that have so far had a more limited presence on the continent’s air route map.
