Fatehi addressed the rumors during an appearance on Virgin Radio Dubai, where she spoke about her relationship with Bounou, describing him as “a very good friend” before calling him “an amazing person.” She also praised his performances on the field, describing him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
The show’s hosts tried to learn more about the nature of their relationship, especially after noticing Fatehi blush while talking about Bounou. One of them jokingly remarked that the two would make “a beautiful couple” given their success, popularity, and public image.
Fatehi simply responded by asking whether that was really the case, without making any statement suggesting the existence of a romantic relationship.
She also revealed that she had known the Moroccan international for a long time, explaining that they had initially known each other indirectly before becoming closer over the past few months.
Fatehi said she followed Morocco’s national team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and was among those supporting both Bounou and the Atlas Lions throughout the tournament, where the goalkeeper delivered standout performances.
Asked what qualities she admired most about him, Fatehi said Bounou is “kind and humble,” adding that he pays little attention to social media or the fame surrounding him, preferring instead to focus on his performances, work, and training. She described him as “a very nice person.”
