PAM brought three of its biggest names to Dakhla on Saturday for a rally drawing more than 10,000 people as the party stepped up its mobilization ahead of the September 23 elections.

Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, coordinator of PAM’s collective leadership, arrived alongside Fouzi Lekjaa and Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, as well as party MPs and members of its Political Bureau.

Yanja El Khattat, president of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Regional Council, was among those receiving the delegation.

The PAM leaders were welcomed with Hassani songs and traditional Sahrawi hospitality, with crowds gathering for their arrival.

Dakhla is the latest stop in a series of major PAM meetings in the run-up to the vote.

The party has already taken its political pitch to Fez, Sefrou and Berkane, with Lekjaa playing an increasingly prominent role at the gatherings.

Saturday’s Dakhla rally is expected to bring together more than 10,000 elected officials, party activists and supporters from across the region.

The official campaign for the September 23 legislative elections begins on September 10.
