In its post, the ministry also reiterated that the Ghanaian government welcomes the adoption of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 which expressed full support for the Secretary General and his Personal Envoy in facilitating and conducting negotiations taking as basis Morocco’s Autonomy proposal with a view to achieving a just, lasting and mutually acceptable resolution to the dispute, consistent with the UN Charter.
The post also emphasized that the Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs received an envoy from the separatist front and not an «ambassador » accredited to Ghana, as separatist media outlets sought to portray it.
