A customs source told Le360 that a Moroccan citizen legally residing in a Spanish city was arrested while driving an Audi Q5. A thorough search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 43.7 kilograms of chira, packaged in slab-shaped blocks.

The same source said the inspection revealed that the seized quantity had been carefully concealed in various parts of the vehicle, including beneath its floor. Another quantity of cannabis was also found inside the rear seats of the suspect’s car.

The vehicle and drugs were seized, while the suspect was placed in police custody on the orders of the competent public prosecutor’s office in Tetouan. He was subsequently referred to the regional judicial police service in Tetouan for further investigation and to determine the possible wider connections of the operation.
