Agadir judicial police have arrested a third suspect in the killing of a young man in the Abattoir neighbourhood, ending a search that had lasted around three months.

The suspect was arrested on Friday, August 28, following weeks of surveillance and field investigations carried out in coordination with the DST, according to a security source.

He had remained in hiding since the killing, while two alleged accomplices were arrested earlier and referred to the judicial authorities.

The case dates back to the second day of Eid Al-Adha, when a violent fight in the Abattoir neighbourhood in central Agadir ended with the death of a young man.

Police subsequently stepped up technical and field investigations to identify and locate those suspected of involvement.

Following his arrest, the third suspect was taken to the Agadir judicial police headquarters and placed in custody under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor.

Investigators are seeking to establish the acts attributed to him and determine the extent of his alleged involvement before he is brought before the judicial authorities.
