According to a security source, a check of the man’s details against Interpol’s database revealed that he was wanted under an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of the organization’s National Central Bureau in Paris.
Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect is allegedly involved in online fraud, having reportedly convinced several victims that he was selling equipment used for cryptocurrency mining before obtaining a total of more than €454,000 from them.

Following his arrest, extradition proceedings were initiated on the instructions of the competent public prosecutor’s office. Interpol Rabat’s National Central Bureau also notified the French authorities of the arrest.
The operation is part of international security cooperation and Moroccan security services’ efforts to track down internationally wanted individuals suspected of involvement in cross-border crime.
