People buying or selling used vehicles can now submit ownership transfer documents at the vehicle registration office serving either party’s place of residence, under new arrangements announced by the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA).

Previously, applications had to be filed with the registration office responsible for the buyer’s area. The new rule allows the paperwork to be submitted at the office covering the seller’s address as well.

The change applies to used vehicles registered in Morocco under the standard registration series, NARSA said.

Motorists can also complete the formalities through the agency’s partner network, including Barid Bank and Barid Cash branches in the municipality where either the buyer or seller lives.

A list of participating branches is available on NARSA’s online services portal, www.khadamatnarsa.ma.
