Brahim Diaz is expected to start Real Madrid’s Champions League opener against Inter Milan on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid will be without Eduardo Camavinga, Arda Güler and Bernardo Silva, who are all suspended for the opening match.
Camavinga and Güler were both sent off in the second leg of the quarterfinal defeat to Bayern Munich (4-3), while the Portuguese midfielder is serving a suspension resulting from a similar red card he received against Real Madrid while playing for Manchester City.
José Mourinho is therefore expected to make several changes to his midfield against Inter on Tuesday, with Diaz likely to be among those brought into the starting lineup.
Elsewhere, Barcelona will also be without Eric Garcia for Wednesday’s home match against Feyenoord. Borussia Dortmund will host Villarreal on Tuesday without Nico Schlotterbeck and Ramy Bensebaïni.
