Achraf Hakimi has suffered a “slight injury to his right thigh” during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 trip to Brest on Sunday, the club confirmed in its latest medical update.

The Morocco captain was substituted in the 39th minute of PSG’s 1-0 win over Brest in the fourth round of Ligue 1.

PSG said in its medical bulletin that the right-back will remain under treatment for the next two days before undergoing a further assessment.

For now, there is no indication of how serious the injury is. Hakimi could, however, be rested for the Classique against Marseille, scheduled for Sunday, September 20 at the Vélodrome.

Hakimi is already suspended for Morocco’s next two matches against Gabon on September 25 and Lesotho on September 29 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, following a decision by the CAF jury over incidents during the 2025 AFCON final.

His participation in those two matches was therefore already ruled out before the injury.
