The Moroccan women’s national team held its final training session on Tuesday, August 11, as the Atlas Lionesses put the finishing touches to their preparations for their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco-2026 semi-final against Cameroon.
With the decisive clash just one day away, Jorge Vilda and his staff worked on the final details with the full squad. Already qualified for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, the Atlas Lionesses are now focused on reaching the AFCON final as they look to claim the first continental title in their history.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, national team coach Jorge Vilda said he could count on his entire squad for the game, adding that his players were “physically and mentally ready” to take on Cameroon.

Meanwhile, Sanaâ Mssoudy stressed the importance of the semi-final and the need for the Lionesses to rise to the occasion. “We cannot afford to make mistakes because these are decisive games. We will put forward the best version of Moroccan women’s football against Cameroon,” the Moroccan international said.
Morocco and Cameroon will face off on Wednesday, August 12, at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with a place in the Women’s AFCON Morocco-2026 final at stake.
