Construction has started in Casablanca on a nearly MAD400 million broadcast center that will handle television pictures from Morocco’s stadiums during the 2030 World Cup.
The International Broadcast Centre will cover around 6.6 hectares and serve as the main base for television and audiovisual operations during the tournament, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
On matchdays, pictures from stadiums across the country will be sent to Casablanca. The center will receive and process the signals before distributing them in real time to broadcasters abroad.
More than 180 television channels and broadcasting organizations around the world are expected to receive footage from Morocco’s World Cup venues through the facility.
The center will also house journalists, technicians, producers and audiovisual crews, with workspaces and logistical facilities for national and international media.

It is billed as the first broadcast center of this scale in Africa.
The project joins the Hassan II Grand Stadium among the major World Cup facilities being built in Casablanca.
