Under the new system, Morocco is no longer on the list of countries eligible for visa-free entry and is also not covered by the visa-on-arrival system. Moroccan nationals wishing to travel to Thailand must therefore obtain a visa before their trip. Moroccan residents can submit their applications through Thailand’s electronic visa platform, without having to personally submit their passports and original documents to the embassy.
However, tighter travel requirements for Thailand do not mean that Moroccan travelers have limited options. The Moroccan passport allows entry to 71 destinations around the world without a visa, although entry requirements and permitted stays vary from one country to another.
Among the destinations Moroccan passport holders can visit without obtaining a visa in advance are Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Syria, Brazil, Colombia, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Kiribati, Micronesia, Vanuatu, Haiti, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Malaysia
Malaysia is one of the main options, as Moroccan passport holders can enter the country without a visa for up to 90 days, making it an important Asian alternative for those looking for a destination that combines modern cities, nature and beaches.

Turkey
Turkey remains one of the destinations most frequented by Moroccans, first because of its relative proximity compared with other destinations, direct flights and the variety of tourism options between Istanbul, Antalya, Cappadocia and other areas. Moroccan passport holders can enter the country without a visa for up to 90 days.

Philippines
The Philippines allows Moroccan travelers to enter without a visa for up to 30 days. The destination attracts tourists with its islands, beaches and natural areas.

Africa
Visa-free destinations are not limited to Asia. The African continent also includes several countries that Moroccans can enter without a visa.
Among the main options are Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Cape Verde, Guinea, Gambia, Rwanda, and São Tomé and Príncipe. The permitted length of stay varies from one country to another.

Latin America
For travelers interested in more distant destinations, several Latin American countries allow Moroccans to enter without a visa. Brazil is among the main options, alongside Colombia and Ecuador.

These countries give Moroccan travelers the opportunity to discover destinations that are very different from traditional European and Mediterranean destinations, from major cities to beaches, forests and natural areas.
There are also several Caribbean countries that can be entered without a visa, including Barbados, Grenada, Haiti, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as the Dominican Republic, subject to the applicable stay requirements.
It should be recalled that Thailand introduced a visa exemption for Moroccan nationals in July 2024 for stays of up to 60 days for tourism and certain business visits, under a system that at the time covered 93 countries and territories. However, the Thai authorities decided to revise the system, reducing the visa-free stay for eligible countries to 30 days and removing several nationalities from the list, including Morocco.
