According to a press release issued by the Association for Prosperity, Culture and Sustainable Development in Nador, the organizer of the event, this year’s edition comes at a pivotal moment as it coincides with the approaching operational launch of Nador West Med Port, one of Morocco’s largest strategic infrastructure projects, which is expected to reshape the region’s economic and logistics landscape.

The statement, obtained by Le360, said the event is being held under the supervision of the Oriental Region Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, in partnership with the Oriental Region Development Agency and the Municipality of Nador. It noted that the theme reflects the high expectations placed by public institutions and economic stakeholders on Nador West Med Port as a new driver of investment and development, particularly as it enters its operational phase. The port is expected to boost trade, attract domestic and foreign investment, and support the development of industrial and logistics zones capable of generating wealth and creating jobs.

According to the same source, the event will bring together public officials, representatives of government institutions, investors, experts, academics and private sector stakeholders in a forum for dialogue, experience-sharing and discussions on the economic opportunities associated with the new port, which is widely regarded as one of the Kingdom’s most strategic projects on the Mediterranean coast.

The program includes a series of scientific conferences, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, training workshops, and an exhibition dedicated to investment and sustainable development. Dedicated spaces for innovation, entrepreneurship and startups will also be featured, with the aim of strengthening networking among economic stakeholders and fostering new projects and partnerships.

Organizers hope the event will become a showcase for the Oriental region’s economic potential, particularly in industry, logistics, trade and services, at a time when the region is undergoing major transformation driven by the Kingdom’s strategic infrastructure projects launched in recent years.

The timing of this edition is significant, as it comes just before the expected launch of a new phase of development in Nador province, led by Nador West Med Port. Seen as a strategic gateway to African and European markets, the port is expected to serve as a key catalyst for attracting investment and enhancing the competitiveness of the regional economy.

Discussions and meetings held during the event are expected to strengthen dialogue between economic and institutional stakeholders while exploring prospects for sustainable development, further consolidating Nador’s position as an emerging economic and logistics hub in the Mediterranean and Africa and giving the Oriental region additional momentum in attracting major investments.
