Casablanca is gearing up for the 24th edition of L’Boulevard, scheduled for Sept. 17 to 20. A major event on Morocco’s urban music scene, the festival will kick off with an all-Moroccan rap lineup on Sept. 17, bringing together BO9AL, Dizzy Dros and Figoshin, three leading figures of the current scene.

With a mix of the movement’s heritage, street authenticity and sonic experimentation, the opening night is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the 24th edition.

Three visions, three generations, one impact

Bringing BO9AL, Dizzy Dros and Figoshin together on the same stage is an artistic choice that is both bold and complementary. Through their respective styles, the three artists reflect the evolution of Moroccan rap, from socially engaged criticism and neighborhood realism to more introspective and melancholic writing.

BO9AL: raw energy and the voice of the neighborhoods

First gaining recognition in 2016 and then breaking into the spotlight with a freestyle that went viral in 2020, BO9AL embodies raw energy and street authenticity. The Casablanca rapper has made a name for himself with an incisive flow that draws on trap, drill and old-school rap.

After the success of the EP Sbitar and the further development of his style with Dracula (2024), he took another step forward with Tornado (2026). Through tracks such as ZigZag and SME3NI, BO9AL portrays everyday life in working-class neighborhoods without filters, addressing social realities with a sincerity that has earned him a broad following.

Dizzy Dros: master storyteller with a cinematic edge

A pioneering figure and established reference in Moroccan rap since the success of 3azzy 3ando Stylo (2013), Dizzy Dros will bring his full presence to the opening night. Known for his sharp writing, hard-hitting diss tracks, including the acclaimed Moutanabbi, and his civic-minded positions, the artist has continued to push the boundaries of the genre.

In 2026, he returns with Aflam, an ambitious 21-track album conceived as a cinematic work. Joined by prominent guests including ElGrandeToto and Sofiane Pamart, Dizzy Dros further cements his status as an exceptional technician and storyteller. His appearance at L’Boulevard promises to reflect his style: powerful, spectacular and unifying.

Figoshin: introspective poetry and a fusion of roots

Originally from Taza and based in Ifrane, Figoshin represents a new generation of Moroccan rap that is both poetic and innovative. He gained wider recognition with Machi Lkhatri (2022) and later stood out in several freestyle competitions, establishing himself through a distinctive style that blends contemporary trap with traditional musical influences.

His work is marked by introspective writing, melancholy and a strong sense of sincerity. Mental health, social pressure and the search for identity are among the central themes of his lyrics. After Al Qamar and Sahara Flow (2024), his latest project, Zone de Confort (2026), further demonstrates his ability to combine lyrical depth with musical appeal.

By bringing BO9AL, Dizzy Dros and Figoshin together, L’Boulevard has put together a lineup that captures the diversity of contemporary Moroccan rap. Combining power, technical skill and sensitivity, the opening night is set to be one of the major events of Casablanca’s cultural calendar this fall.
